It has been awesome to see how my God provides and takes care of my family! Since stepping out on faith in January of 2005, it has truly been amazing and at times scary, but what a joy it's been to be taken out of our comfort zone and into God's perfect plan for our lives and see and experience how God takes care of our every need! I couldn't really say that the first year. I often reflected back on the Israelites and how the Lord delivered them out of circumstance after circumstance and yet they questioned, complained and wandered, literally wandered for 40 years. Isn't great to know that He knows our frame, and that despite our weaknesses, He is made strong and honor and glory belong to Him! I can tell you story after story of how my God has provided and taken care of our family, His family! Whether its through individuals in our church family, friends, family, speaking engagements, or people that we may never come in contact with, but yet God lays it in their hearts to give towards our ministry or take us on for support, God, has met our need every step of the way! And His timing is always perfect! What an AWESOME God we serve!
This is just a small part of my journey through faith, but what about you? Are you ready and willing to grow in your faith in God? In the book of Ruth, we see how Ruth, even through tragedy, was willing to leave everything she knew and loved to follow her mother in law's God. What about you?

What is your calling?
Recently, I was asked the question, "What do you feel is your part or call to the ministry that God has given to your husband, you and your family?" As I thought through that, the question in my mind was, "Why the ministry to the military?" Well, we have to go back to understand what the Lord was doing in our lives. In the early 90's, Mike had talked about staying in the military, but at the time, I thought, we are a young family and maybe this is not such a good idea. In passing, he would bring it up again, but after a while, nothing more was said. Years later, while attending Hillsdale’s annual mission’s conference, God began a work in my own life. When Mike asked me about ministering to the military and their families, my initial response was, you better make sure that it’s the Lord’s calling on our life and not your emotions. I knew that my calling is to support my husband and did not want to be the one to disobey God’s calling for our family to serve the military. The Lord reminded me of a prior decision that I had made to dedicate my life as well as our family to full time Christian service. The following night of the Mission’s conference, the message was on “Total Surrender” and Mike again looked over to me and I knew that I needed to surrender to God’s call on our life. In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus gives us the Great Commission, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen." Jesus, is calling all believers, those that have recognized and repented of their sins, and have put their faith and trust in Him, to share the "Good News, to all." I am thankful for God's grace and goodness in my own life and in my family! And I am thankful for the opportunity of serving Him and our men and women who defend and protect our freedom daily!
This has been a short story of my calling, now what has God called you to do and are you diligently pursuing that call?
